Our MIssion Statement

The Aurora Project is a registered charity that works to support people that have had experience of substance use.

We hope to promote the belief that those in recovery from their addictions have much to offer their local communities, and challenge the stereotype that drug & alcohol users are a constant burden on society.

AURORA Wandsworth

We are now in Wandsworth and our project offers support to people who are in, or about to go through treatment for drug and/or alcohol problems through a Volunteer Peer Mentoring scheme.

Our Volunteers can help you with everyday practicalities that can sometimes feel overwhelming, including form filling, and accessing information around a variety of subjects.

Getting Clients socially active by accompanying them to meetings and social clubs that are available.

Advocating for clients & attending difficult appointments/meetings including the Job Centre & Housing Providers.

The Aurora Project Wandsworth is a service designed to work in partnership with Keyworkers and other professionals within the Wandsworth treatment Consortium.  Our volunteers here at Aurora have also been through treatment themselves, so are able to emphasis and have a unique common interest - Recovery!
