Working Together, Through Treatment, Towards Recovery

Aurora Project Lambeth is a Registered Charity offering *Peer Mentoring to individuals in treatment for substance and alcohol use within Lambeth& Wandsworth.  Aurora Project was set up by a group of individuals with experience of seeking treatment for substance or alcohol use and is governed by a board of trustees. This small organisation offers a unique service for clients, offering them the chance to get support and advice from people who have been through treatment themselves.

*Peer Mentoring is a form of mentorship that usually takes place between a person who has lived through a specific experience (peer mentor) and a person who is new to that experience.

"This is a very positive development. Service users helping service users move forward is where it is at. It is a key part of the government's drug strategy and Aurora is one of the projects leading the way."

- Alison Keating, NTA London Manager
